Aly Gay Design is a full-service interior design studio in the heart of Menlo Park, California, creating collected, inviting spaces for clients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, across California, and well beyond.

Meet Aly

Aly Gay is the founder and creative force behind the studio. Originally from the South, she brings Southern charm and hospitality to every project, balanced by a crisp West Coast edge. Her interiors celebrate color, texture, and pattern, layered with a touch of whimsy, to create homes that feel as livable as they are beautiful.

She works hand in hand with her clients, and in close partnership with the architects, builders, and custom craftsmen who bring each vision to life, across full-scale renovations, new construction, and thoughtful furnishings. She often takes clients along to source pieces in person, hunting for the ones that carry a little history. "An antique in every room," as she likes to say, whether it's a treasure from a trip, a favorite piece of art, or a grandmother's writing desk. The result is transitional design with soul: rich with character and the kind of quiet, lived-in luxury that feels as comfortable as it is refined.

While the studio calls Menlo Park home, Aly's work reaches well beyond it, from Atherton and the greater San Francisco Bay Area to Napa, Truckee, and Carmel-by-the-Sea, with projects as far as Texas, Tennessee, Kentucky, New York, and Florida. Most recently, she was selected for the 2026 San Francisco Decorator Showcase, with her space featured in Architectural Digest, Luxe, House Beautiful, and more.

Endlessly inspired by travel, fashion, and design icons like Ken Fulk, Bunny Williams, and Mike D. Sikes, Aly designs every home to be enjoyed daily and treasured for years.

Aly is a consummate professional, from delivering a wealth of inspiration board ideas, to coming over to ensure that every furniture delivery is correct, to proactively checking back to see if you are satisfied and need anything else.
